This is a high quality sound clip, so be patient. I hope you have good computer speakers!

I was extremely impressed with this product. The V&H exhaust always lacked some deep tonal qualities that I missed from my Roadhouse Shorty. This product fixed all that. The increase in volume was negligible. I measured the decibels at a right angle two feet from the exhaust tips. The result, V&H standard baffles were 111 dB and the Thunder Monster's were 114 dB (a 10 dB increase is a doubling of sound volume). However, not all sound is audible, so even though the decible meter measured a 3 dB increase, to the ear, it's not that much. This is no doubt because the majority of the increase is at a wave length below 20hz--where the typical ear cannot hear (deep bass). The biggest change was unexpectedly upon decel. The V&H have tendency to have a sort of whispering sound (in my opinion). These Thunder Monster's eliminated all of that and add a growling deep tone. I loved it!

That being said, the deep tonal resonance produced by this simple, but obviously well deigned product, is a MUST for V&H owner's who like a louder style exhaust.
