2002 VTX 1800 C

Most of my images are roll-over images. Simply roll your cursor over the image to see another one.

If you want to use the Brakeaway with the Chrome Kury levers, part number Part #: KUR-7429 , you will need to modify it so the release cam hits the lever in the right spot. Some have cut away at their levers. I opted for a modification to the Brakeaway system which took me about five minutes--four of them just locating the right nut & bolt. I simply added a nut used here as a washer, and a new longer bolt. If you roll your cursor over the image, you'll see the underside. Here I removed the stock hex head bolts because when tightening them the head tends to strip way too easily. I found a perfect match with the discarded nuts from my Kury grips end caps which I replaced when I added the Throttle Boss. Note: You assume all risk for any modification to your bike, as I assume risk for what I do to mine. Brakeaway did not make a longer cam when I called them last, and they did NOT endorse my mod (for liability reasons).
