If you are like me and live in an area where you scrape your pegs, either
became the roads are crowned poorly, you drive faster than you should,
or you do not know how to lean properly into a curve, may I suggest that
you first learn how to properly lean into a curve--which is to say YOU
lean into the curve and the bike you try and keep upright. If that seems
foreign to you you should stop right here and get on line to Amazon.com
and buy this book, "Sport Riding Techniques: How To Develop Real
World Skills for Speed, Safety, and Confidence on the Street and Track."

If you still want to move forward, I found these adapters from Kuryakayn.
They are for a GL 1500--front foot peg adapter (part number 7946) or JCP
Cycles # ZZ53076.
As you can see, in one position they bring your peg up, and if flipped
over, the peg will be lowered closer to the ground. It's supposed to be
installed so that it lowers your peg closer to the ground. But simply
grinding a little away on one edge permits these to be installed upside
down and raises your peg so that you get a little more clearance than
with the stock pegs--a lot in all actuality. You'll know where you have
to grind because if you install them upside down to gain clearance, you'll
notice that they don't quite fold up like they should--removing a little
of the side that binds, will permit it to fold up upon impact just as
if you installed them correctly. Remember, you assume all risk for modifications
to your bike as I do to mine.
